This program forms part of the Shipment preparation process. How the process handles the content, planning and scheduling is completely user-definable. You plan the routes that will be used to deliver goods to your customers in this program and the system automatically generates the route lists in the Work with route list program. Each route list contains the scheduled departure and the planned deliveries based on the route plans.

Work with routes (DIR01404)

- Route
- Enter a unique code to identify the new route you are creating, or enter an existing route ID to create a new departure for the route.
- Departure
- Enter a code from the Departure table to identify the departure for this route indicating, e.g. the departure point of the goods. Note: Some routes may have more than one departure. In that case, they are defined one by one per route ID.
- From date
- Enter the date that the route will be available from.
- To date
- Enter the date on which the route will be cancelled. Note: A route can have different departure times on different dates. In that case, they are defined one by one per route ID.
- Warehouse
- Enter a code from the Warehouse table that identifies the warehouse from which the goods are departing.
- Loading location
- Enter a code from the Locations table indicating where the goods are to be loaded. This code will be retrieved to the route list and the outbound shipment. If nothing is defined here, then the default loading location from the Warehouse table will be retrieved.
- Shipment type
- Enter a code from the Shipment type table if you want to take advantage of the specification possibilities incorporated in a shipment type. (See Shipment type automatic actions for more information). For example, you can specify which automatic actions that should take place when the shipment is closed or updated as shipped. Note: You cannot enter a shipment type defined for Order assignment.

These weekdays are used in conjunction with the fields to the right of them. Note: All dates are automatically checked against the Calendar file. There will be no deliveries on the days that have been marked as holidays.
- Dep
- Indicate whether or not there will be a dispatch on this weekday. Note: At least one weekday must be set to YES.
- Dep time
- Enter the departure time.
- Cut-off time
- Enter the order entry cut-off time. Orders placed after this time will be bumped up to a later shipment. Note: If cut-off time is earlier than the departure time, then you do not have to specify a cut-off day unless it is on a different day. (If a day is not defined, then the system will assume that the cut-off day is the same as the departure day.)
- Cut-off day
- Enter order cut-off day. Orders placed on this day, after the cut-off time, will be bumped up to a later shipment. Note: If, e.g., both the cut-off day and departure day is on a Wednesday, then the cut-off and departure day will be on the same Wednesday and not the following one.
