The following describes an ordinary stock movement from normal stock to another warehouse for a serial number tracking controlled item.
Note: If you are registering a large amount of serial numbers using a scanner, the Serial number entry panel can be accessed in scanner mode by use of Scan function key. The program then automatically checks if a serial number has already been registered regardless of the amount of serial numbers. You are also able to delete existing serial numbers.
- Select the Enter inventory movements menu item.
- You access Inventory movements entry. Complete the following fields:
- Transit
- This field is only displayed if the BtB function has been activated in the DIS control file. Must be set to NO when moving from normal stock, as described here.
- Item
- From warehouse
- To warehouse
- Quantity
- Accounting period
- The system defaults the current accounting period. This value can only be changed if Allow change period is set to YES in Work with IBS user profiles for your profile.
- You access Serial number entry. The number of input fields on this panel corresponds to the quantity you are moving. You have two options:
- Enter the serial number manually.
- Click Select serial numbers to display existing serial numbers.
Click OK.
If you click Select serial numbers you access the second Serial number entry panel listing all of the serial numbers that are available in the delivering warehouse.
Transfer selected
Mark as many as you like and click OK to transfer the selected serial numbers to the initial Serial number entry panel.
Make new selection
If you want to make a new selection, remove the serial number from the line and click Select serial numbers to select another serial number.
Click OK after you enter serial numbers for the entire quantity.
