This panel displays the menu items and corresponding descriptions that have been set up in your system. IBS delivers standard menu items with every IBS Enterprise base release that belong to subset *STANDARD. Generally speaking, you can add, change or delete entries in the file.

All menu items are linked to a particular subset.

Valid subsets are:

Using the MEDEA tool you can build your own menus, linking the standard menu items that IBS delivers or, alternatively, creating your own menu items for as many subsets as you want.

There are two types of menu items; those that directly access a program and those that call another menu. The latter are preceded with an M_. Regardless of which type of menu item you choose to create, you must define the appropriate “call” to execute either the program or the menu.

The standards for naming a menu item in IBS Enterprise are similar to the naming of error messages in IBS Enterprise. As a rule, the menu item is named after the front program which is called by the menu item. The structure of the name is XX999, where XX is an abbreviation of the alphabetical first part of the program name, and 999 is the program number.
