Change a sales quotation

  1. Select the Work with sales quotations menu item.
  2. You access Sales quotation maintenance. Enter the number of the quotation you wish to change. (Tip: The number of the last quotation that was entered is displayed on the bottom left-hand corner of the panel). Click OK.
  3. You access Quotation line entry.
  4. Add changes to quotation line
    To change information for this quotation line you have two options:

    1. Double click on the line you wish to change.
    2. Enter the number of the line you wish to change in the Line field and click OK.

    On Quotation line maintenance make your changes and click OK to save the information. You return to Quotation line entry.

    Change address
    To change address information do as follows:

    1. Click Addresses to view your customer’s address information. The system displays your customer’s default address information from the Business partner file. If your customer requests that the quotation be sent to an alternate address you have two options from which to choose when changing the address:
      • If you have several customer addresses on record in the customer’s Address file, then enter the customer address number in the first field and click OK. The system will retrieve the address information.
      • To add an address that is not in the customer’s Address file enter 999 in the first field and an address in the adjacent text fields. Note: If you enter a new address it will not be appended to the customer’s Address file. It will only be used for this particular quotation.
    2. Click OK when you have finished either viewing the address information or entering a new address.
    3. You return to Quotation line entry.

    Change quotation header
    To change quotation header information do as follows:

    1. Click the Header tab to access quotation header information.
    2. The system displays the information that was defined for your customer in the Business partner file. You can change all the information that is displayed with one exception:
    3. Currency
      This information was entered at the start of the quotation entry process. Only one type of currency can be used per quotation transaction.

      Note: If you entered 2 in the Quotation type field (indicating that the quotation will eventually become a contract) you must also validate the contract with start and end dates.

    4. To save your changes click OK. The quotation will be updated and you will return to Quotation line entry.
