Create a menu item

  1. Access the Work with menu items routine.
  2. In the top input fields, enter 1 to the left of the Menu item field and assign the name of the menu item and subset. Tip: Press F4 or click the prompt icon to retrieve values. Click OK when ready.
  3. Complete the Description, the Command to execute this menu item and Application code. Note: For a menu item that is to call a program, you can enter command CALL PGM(ASGC800) and then press F4 to access a prompt panel where you define each parameter separately.
  4. If the subset requires the Identity, PTF and Modification number, enter this information. Press F4 or click the prompt icon when ready.
