The following describes how to view in what way a campaign chain will affect a requested delivery before the actual sales order entry is completed.
This simulation is available via the standard enquiry program (i.e. Promotion campaign simulation enquiry), but can also be accessed via the Program function selection window. This window is accessible from the following:
- Work with sales orders program
- Work with sales quotations program
- Customer service enquiry
- Click the Fnc list function key in any of the above-mentioned programs, select Promotion campaign simulation and click OK.
- You access Promotion campaign simulation. Some of the fields may already be defaulted depending on from which program you accessed this panel, but they can be changed. Complete the following fields to simulate the promotion campaign:
- Item
- Enter the item for which you want to view the campaign chain. You can enter any item and the simulation panel will display the complete chain from start to end for this item. Tip: Using the prompt window function (clicking the triangle to the right of the field) in this field will display only items of type PC (promotion campaign).
- Date
- Enter a date up until which campaign items are available.

Depending on what you enter in the different fields, the system displays a simulation of the chain denoting which campaign item will be retrieved to the sales order, item availability in the entered warehouse, etc.
As long as you enter a last available campaign date you have a complete picture of how the campaign chain is defined for a specific item in your system.
